Woodward Inc. a global leader in aerospace and industrial energy control solutions, has announced the appointment of Ron Charles as its Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. The appointment is effective immediately.
Ron Charles will assume leadership of Woodward’s human resources department, encompassing key areas such as organizational capability, talent management, member experience, total rewards, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Charles will report directly to CEO Chip Blankenship.
Charles brings over 25 years of HR expertise to Woodward. His most recent role was CHRO at Chemours, where he made significant strides in talent strategy, staffing, and labor relations. At Chemours, Charles was instrumental in advancing HR operational excellence and fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace. His experience also includes senior HR roles at Phillips 66 and Albemarle Corporation.

Educational Background and Community Involvement
Charles holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of North Texas. He is actively involved in community service, having served on the Board of the Serviam Girls Academy in Delaware. Charles will be relocating to Fort Collins with his family.
