Johnson & Johnson has announced Kristen Mulholland as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This decision follows the upcoming retirement of Dr. Peter M. Fasolo, who has held the position of Executive Vice President and CHRO for over a decade. Mulholland’s appointment will take effect in October 2024.

Mulholland brings nearly 20 years of experience within Johnson & Johnson to her new role. She has held numerous leadership positions across the company’s corporate services, global functions, and MedTech and Innovative Medicines sectors. Her most recent role was as Head of Human Resources, Global Total Rewards & Enterprise HR Functions, where she was instrumental in guiding the Compensation & Benefits Committee and played a crucial part in the successful separation of J&J’s consumer business to form Kenvue.
Mulholland will work closely with Dr. Fasolo until his retirement at the end of this year, ensuring a smooth transition. As part of her new role, Mulholland will also join Johnson & Johnson’s Executive Committee, solidifying her influence over the company’s human capital strategy moving forward.
