Comal Independent School District (ISD) has announced the hiring of Randy D. Davis as its new Chief of Human Resources. With over 34 years of experience in public education, Davis brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record to the role.
A Leader in Education
For 24 years, Davis held administrative roles, including human resources positions, making him well-suited for his new role in Comal ISD. His career has spanned various roles, from teacher to coach and principal, and most recently, assistant superintendent of human resources at Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. Davis expressed enthusiasm about joining Comal ISD, eager to serve the district’s students, staff, and the broader community.
“I look forward to joining Comal ISD and being a part of its continued success,” Davis said. His experience in education leadership is poised to bring positive change and enhanced operations to the district.
A Vision for the Future
Comal ISD Superintendent John Chapman praised Davis’ leadership. “Dr. Davis is a proven leader in public education, and we look forward to having his experience and vision at Comal ISD,” Chapman stated.
Davis will officially step into his new role on January 6, 2024, and is expected to make significant contributions to the district’s growth.
Outside of work, Davis enjoys a variety of hobbies, including camping, hiking, fishing, and attending sporting events. He is joined by his wife, Gabrielle, and their two adult sons, along with their 22-month-old grandson.
