Lattice, the employee-experienced tech company, has announced the appointment of Gianna Driver as its new Chief People Officer (CPO). This appointment marks Lattice’s third high-profile executive change in 2024, following the recent arrivals of CEO Sarah Franklin and Chief Communications Officer Cheryl Sanclemente.
Driver, who previously served as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at cybersecurity firm Exabeam, steps into her new role amid a wave of transformative leadership changes at Lattice. Gianna Driver, respected for her treatment of predecessors, was approached by the exiting CPO, Cara Brennan Allamano, who played a crucial role in the transition.
A New Era for HR at Lattice
Gianna’s connection to Lattice is not new, she has long been an advocate for the company’s HR solutions. “I’ve implemented Lattice at multiple workplaces and have been a huge fan,” Driver shares. Her previous experience as a customer and her role on Lattice’s CPO Council since its inception in August 2023 make her a familiar face in the organization.
Now, as she takes the reins, Gianna is excited about the opportunity to contribute to a company at the intersection of innovation and human-centered design. “Lattice is an AI-forward, people-first HR technology platform that puts employees at the center of everything we do,” she explains.
Gianna’s appointment comes during notable leadership changes at Lattice, including a new CEO and a new CCO. This series of shifts presents both challenges and opportunities. Gianna acknowledges this, highlighting her commitment to change management through curiosity, empathy, and clear communication. “My approach is rooted in understanding our employees’ needs and ensuring we address them effectively while honoring our existing strengths,” she says.
Navigating the Future of HR and AI
As Lattice moves forward, Driver plans to undertake a listening tour to gather insights from employees about their needs and challenges. “I want to know what’s on the mind and what matters most from an employee experience perspective,” Driver notes. This feedback will be crucial as she works to enhance Lattice’s HR practices and products.
A significant focus of the Driver’s role will involve collaborating with Lattice’s product teams to develop AI-powered tools that align with real-world HR needs. She is keen on integrating customer feedback to ensure that Lattice’s innovations are practical and impactful.
Gianna also addresses recent controversies surrounding Lattice’s AI features, which faced backlash from the HR community. “We’re innovating at a unique intersection where AI and human-centered solutions can coexist. Her goal is to ensure that our AI advancements are responsible and culturally sensitive,” she says.
Looking Ahead
As Gianna Driver begins her journey with Lattice, the company can benefit from her extensive experience and commitment to people and technology. With her leadership, Lattice aims to maintain its growth revolution while prioritizing employee experience and innovative solutions.
