PUMA North America has been making waves in the HR technology space, spearheaded by Tiffany Paquette, the Director of People Technology & Operations. At the Workday Rising conference in September, Paquette shared how data and automation are revolutionizing HR practices at PUMA.
With over 2,000 employees across corporate offices and retail stores, Paquette’s team ensures seamless HR management through advanced platforms like Workday.
Data-Driven Decisions Are Key
Paquette emphasized the growing importance of data in HR. “Data is at the forefront of every decision,” she said. Her team plays a critical role in providing real-time HR insights to management. To enhance efficiency, PUMA has implemented 30 robotic process automations (RPA), to streamline workflows and reducing manual efforts.
AI and Privacy: A Balancing Act
Paquette also discussed how PUMA is exploring AI to enhance HR processes, focusing on building human-like interactions through tools like Scarlett, an HR bot. “We’re taking the robot out of the robot,” she explained, aiming to make tech more user-friendly for employees.
At the same time, data privacy remains a top priority. “We handle data with care,” Paquette stressed, ensuring that employee information is protected through rigorous testing and oversight.
Supporting Retail Teams with Simplified Tech
Managing a diverse workforce of retail employees presents unique challenges, but Paquette is tackling them head-on. With increasing demand in retail recruitment, PUMA has focused on simple, self-service solutions to ease the burden on store managers.
As HR technology continues to evolve, PUMA North America’s innovative approach positions them at the advanced of the HR tech era.
